I will keep it short and simple. I thought it would be a nice idea to post the 5 pictures that I liked the most the past year. All photos taken by me or with me on it (then, obviously, not always taken by myself).
5.) Bayoke II, Bangkok. This is the highest building in Bangkok and offers a ‘skywalk’. Furthermore it offers a bar/restaurant on the top which lets you escape the hectic city life and enjoy the silence while watching the chaos beneath you. At night the colors of the city become quite impressive. Bayoke II itself also shows some nice colors.
4.) Baguette, Vientiane, Laos. This picture wasn’t taken in Thailand. It was taken in Laos. However Laos is almost considered Thailand. Actually it is ‘small’ Thailand. That’s just like with Austria and Germany in Europe. Same language, only smaller. This pictures made it into my top 5 because it shows the first ‘real’ european food in AGES. And it is not only some european food, it is amazing food that could make french baguette cooks (ehm) jealous. Always glad to come back there!
3.) My Classes, Udon Thani Vocational College, Udon Thani. Obviously they have to be here! Even though I get annoyed by my college and its organization more and more often, I still love teaching itself and most students over here. I can’t say it often enough: Thanks for making my time over here so amazing.
2.) Petronas Towers, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Ok, this site is called my-thai.org and now I post a second picture that was obviously not taken in Thailand but in Malaysia. I know what you might think. But without moving to Thailand I would have never been able to visit Kuala Lumpur during a long weekend. So thanks to Thailand I was able to fulfill one of my childhood dreams. Going to Kuala Lumpur and the Petronas Towers.
1.) Krabi. Not much to say about it. Just perfect. Happy place. Heaven on earth. Period.
That have been the my favorite pictures of 2011 so far. Let’s see what 2012 will bring. So far happy holidays everybody. See you in the year 2012 (or 2555 in Thailand).
