Siam Square One

Finally! Another shopping mall opened in Bangkok. Since we barely have any shopping possibilities we were really in the need for that. Fun aside though, Siam Square One at least provides a bit of a different approach to shopping malls. It’s more or less “open” and comes with quite a spacious design. Siam Center Bangkok [mall]

Siam Center is one of the most unique shopping malls in Bangkok. Completely renovated and re-styled in 2013 it now hosts shops in a unique atmosphere and also is frequently home to exhibitions or other special events. It is located right between Siam Paragon and Siam Discovery and is easily recognizable due to its hip look and unique mascot. It’s open every day. Just like any other shopping mall in Bangkok.

Thailand Shopping Malls to close early in April

Thai shopping malls have agreed to close one hour early between April 5 and 14 due to an expected energy shortage rooting in maintenance performed at a natural gas platform in Myanmar. Around 25% of Thailand’s natural gas come from that platform and since the energy flow will decrease during that time Malls as well as Toyota for example agreed to reduce their energy consumption.
